Required Equipment:

• Minimum 250 rounds of ammunition
• Minimum 2 magazines
• PPE: Eye and ear protection, ball cap, and closed-toe shoes

Course Overview:
This course provides foundational knowledge and practical training in the safe and effective operation of a semi-automatic carbine/rifle. You will be better prepared to win a gunfight.

Course Objectives:

• Understand the operational mechanics of a semi-automatic rifle
• Learn sighting system offset and its impact
• Proper use and function of optics and back-up iron sights (BUIS)
• Achieve a basic 50/250 yard zero
• Master the 7 Fundamentals of Rifle Shooting:
• Stance
• Grip
• Sight Picture
• Sight Alignment
• Trigger Control
• Breathing
• Follow Through
• Practice various shooting positions
• Identify and resolve malfunctions (Immediate Action/Troubleshooting)
• Learn proper loading, clearing, and reloading techniques
