About the Gunfighter Series

The Stronghold Gunfighter Series is a live-fire, multi-stage firearms training event designed for shooters looking to enhance tactical and defensive shooting skills.

Held at Walnut Lane Range in Farmersburg, Iowa, this course features four dynamic shooting stages using both handgun and carbine platforms.

This event emphasizes:

• Movement under stress
• Accuracy and marksmanship
• Decision-making in tactical scenarios

• Concealed Carry Permit holders
• Law Enforcement Officers
• Tactical Enthusiasts

Stronghold Gunfighter Series – Event 1 Overview

• Course of Fire (COF) and load-out details are emailed to squads prior to the event.
• Liability waiver completion and range safety briefing are mandatory.
• Eye and ear protection required at all times.
• Closed-toe shoes only (no sandals or flip-flops).
• Firearms are inspected before entering stage areas and remain unloaded until directed.
• Amenities include porta-johns and designated parking.

Choose Your Loadout

Select the division that fits your training level:

1. CCW Division

• Everyday Carry (EDC) setup
• Holster and magazine pouch

2. Street Fighter Division

• War belt or duty belt setup
• Open-carry configuration for quick access

3. Warrior Division

• Full tactical setup
• Helmet, plate carrier, war belt, etc.

Course Format

Each event includes four live-fire stages, combining handgun and carbine drills.

Handgun Stages:

• Semi-auto or revolver chambered in .380 ACP or larger
• Close-to-mid-range engagement and movement drills

Carbine Stages:

• Rifle handling and movement exercises using non-steel targets
• Focus on reloads, transitions, and positional shooting

• Handgun and/or carbine (depending on division)
• Ammunition and magazines (see COF email for details)
• Eye & ear protection
• Closed-toe footwear or boots
• Loadout gear (CCW, duty, or tactical)
• Photo ID and proof of registration
• Completed liability waiver
